Hello

My name is Phnixmisty or Dee. I have a 6 1/2 year old female black cat named Mia. I also rescued a female calico kitten from the desert six weeks ago. She is about 8 weeks old now and is named Willow. I also lost my big black handsome Jeremy to kidney failure about 5 months ago. I still miss him. He would be 8 years old now. I am a cat lover from way back. As a teenager I helped my mom feed and care for wild cats from the orange groves near our home. To me there is nothing like a cute kitten (or a newborn human) to put a smile on my face. That is not to say I don't mind dogs. We have a rescued female healer mix named Diamond. Mia just tolerates her but Willow loves to play with her ears and tail. I hope to chat with others about my feline adventures and hear about theirs. Until then adieu.

Hello, Dee. I'm sorry to hear about Jeremy, but that kitten should keep you busy. Welcome to the CatSite!

Welcome to the site! There's a lot of us here who really love black kitties. I have one too, Trent. I'm really sorry to hear about Jeremy. It does get easier with time, but we never really get over and certainly never forget the furry loves that touch our lives. :angel2: At least, I know I haven't.

Goodness, Willow must have been really tiny when you found her. Only 2 weeks old!?! What a wonderful thing you have done for her. How did you find her in the desert? I love hearing rescue stories with happy endings.

I hope to see you posting often!

Welcome Dee:

I have a lot of black cats, lets see there's:

Blackie (how original), the 1st.
Olive Oil
Baby
Pal
String Bean
Munchkin
Mama
Midnight
Ebony
FiFi
Sampson
2 sisters who for the life of me I cannot tell apart so they don't have names. I know that's a shame, but I cannot tell them apart. I've tried putting colars, but they are semi-feral and would rather not have anything to do with jewelry!

Hey, Sidney! What did you say to do after we turned sideways to see your kitty? I can't read it because my neck is stiff and I can't straighten it out to read what comes next!!

Hi Dee

I just love Casper and Kitty's website. How very clever of you to construct that - also, some of the pictures are really rather good . . . (you don't take pictures for a living do you)?

Apart from my 2 persians, I too have a black cat, a British Shorthair - called Ferdinand (Ferdy).

But hey - doesn't matter what colour they are - they are all such sweet fluffies.
