I made my kids get out she is still nervous. She is laying down alot and grooming

I don't want to get gross sounding but when I look at her area now where the kits come out I see little pink skin usually it is all black. I can see the slit. Gosh I hope am not being to graphic. Usually I do not see anything and it is puffy on the sides I think a little.

oh sounds like she is in LABOR! go skittles go!

Not too graphic, But very telling... She is definatley getting ready to have kittens!! Yippee!

So you mean to tell me since 4 this morning she has been acting this way because of labor. Why dont I see contractions. The black looked like fur but the pink i see very little but is that skin...

Yes! I believe she will have them today, The pink is skin. It means she is dilating....The first contractions in arly labor you won't see but what you should have noticed is her restlessness that I believe is what has been happening for a while now...But then again she is carrying an elephant .....& a couch.....

Sounds to me like it is starting to happen, too. Just try to keep her comfortable. What an exciting time.

I guess this blows the theory that a watched pot never boils. We have ALL been watching for Skittles to boil! LOL!

It may still take a while, but it is encouraging that you should have kittens before too long!

Oh great! I have a concert, so I'll be gone for about 3 hours. Figures she'd go then!

She is eating right now.. She was sleeping on her back.. I hope tonight is the night. I am thinking of leaving for a few so she can have her time. I know I should be there but I think me here and the kids is making her more nervous. I might take them to a movie and when I return see how it is then.. Think this is a good idea.

Ok, you have 3 kids and you know...it doesn't happen by the text book She may feel the kids, as much as she loves them, are just not calm enough. It's just nature! When she does have the first kitten will you please start a new thread?! I want to start at the beginning. Isn't it funny, this has become my "Young and the Restless".

Come on Skittles! It is 8.30 in hte evening here, and I don't want to go to bed before she has at least one!

Ooh!!! Ooh!!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe after the birth is done, I can actually do some housework for once!!!! Of course, by then, it could be too late...oh, phooey!!! I'll just sit on here, eat my mac-n-cheese, and wait for some kittens!!!!!!!!!

I'm so excited! Remember to get that vet number handy, and call if you have any signs of trouble, struggling, or anything unusual!
