Update on SKittles

You know how us humans have that last bit of energy, "cleaning and making sure everything is ready" energy? Well, this is the kitty version. My Adina did the same thing. She layed around for a week, miserable and fat. Then the last day she actually got frisky and I thought- She is never going to have these babies!! She will do it when you are not ready

This is probably true! She'll use the element of surprise!

It is 10am I should go get in the shower, but I dont want to leave her but am wondering if I do will she get started. Maybe she is embarassed

rugratz----- I read that labor thread you posted and sounds like the first stages of labor too. and if I remember right it said they only have a few contractions here and there in the begining then they start getting closer. But they aren't sure what is going on so they are very restless and purr alot.

GL today! I will be looking as much as I can.

I think am going to hope in and take a 10 min shower and leave the room 100% dark....See what happens then. I looked at her back end and I do not see it open. No clue if she is having contractions or straining

nothing She was sleeping spread out on her back......

Have faith, the kittens will come...when you least expect it!

I think I might call Dr Clark... I just hate to call again when he said give her time and he was sure this weekend...What am I going to ask him why hasnt she had them Dumb ? I think....

Yes!! You should be able to see her trying to push,anyway. When Boo had hers,you could see her tense up every little bit, and that lasted a couple of hours.One other thing that I thought was amazing ..was how she kneaded everything her little paws came in contact with,throughout the entire labor and delivery! Believe me, if you've had children...you WILL see the signs!! She may even be in your lap when it starts!!

Well, what was his day count for today 62 or 60? I would give it a few hours more before you call the Dr. - she doesn't appear to be in distress right?

62 if correct but fri he said he thought she was 62 day meaning today is 64 right....

sweet...I hope she has them today so you both can have a bit of relief....

Just thought I'd put this in...the list is getting shorter!!! I refuse to re-guess - Skittles is Ms. Unpredictable !

I have my hand on her tummy. I feel them all kicking up a storm also it does seem to get a little hard... I pet her toward her tail and she either sticks it in the air are tries to squat.... She hasnt used the potty in a while

Still sounds like the first stages of labor. have you seen a "rippling" effect that they talk about with a contraction? Don't forget the first stage of labor can go on for HOURS before she even starts to push or do much else. And on that site you posted it says sometimes they will stop during that stage for one reason or another.

She was laying down and I was petting her belly for over 5 min and she just clawed my finger Then went to play with the cord then to the litter box...

Well since mine's about to be wiped out...I might as well guess again! (i'm not proud!). I'm eating a bag of skittles right now in the hopes it inspires me to guess and skittles to pop!!

She is really freaky. She is jumping off my bed if my kids come in if they leave she gets back up but she is all over the darn bed. She is a nervous mom to be

She probably doesn't want the kids around..... most of my cats always waited til my kids were sleeping or at school.
