Update on SKittles

How much longer until the vet's appointment?
My Isis just went looking under our bed again, like she did yesterday, and I again put her in her nesting box, but she still is following me around.

Okay guys, as far as I can tell, there's Isis, Pikie Dust, Patches and Skittles....
ready to go. Are there any others I'm missing? Just trying to take inventory on who's in this race, anyway!! Go girls, gooooooo!!

I think she was in heat last a couple of months ago. I am really not sure how far along she is, it is hard to tell with her because she has had a growth on her belly since I got her from my mom last year and it has grown along with her stomach. That picture was taken yesterday, so she may still have a week or two to go. But I have been feeling the kittens move, and she does seem to be doing some nesting, and a few days ago she had brown discharge.

Skittles reminds me of Rachel on that one Friends episode where Rachel is waiting to have her baby and like 4 women come and go and have their babies and Rachel is waiting, and waiting for her baby..and she is so mad that she threatens to sue the hospital if she doesn't have the baby next

She could be close then..

Ok, I think I am finally caught up on skittles. I have been reading every chance I got since yesterday! I was shocked when Sponge went into labor. I had been checking on her every day several times a day. When I got up Wednesday morning I was busy and hadnt checked on her at all. Then she came to me wanting my attention. I was completely shocked when I realized she was in labor. So, if I were you I would get busy doing something and forget about her for a while b/c when you least expect it she will have them! LOL
She looks HUGE! Seeing how big Sponge was and she had 5 babies and Skittles is A LOT bigger I am guessing she will have 9 kittens on May 20th at 11am.
I'm sure that is not right but I have never been good at stuff like this. LOL

I am thinking Isis will only have 2-3 because she was a petite cat to begin with, and I have no clue if she has had any other litters before I got her.

I'm afraif I'm too new at using forums! What is thread hijacked!! Maybe I did it already and didn't even know!!

I'm having kittens tomorrow! LOL! Picking up a new foster litter at 1 pm, already born so I don't have to do the Momma watch! (Is that cheating?!?!)

Sponge is doing better. She has milk in 4 of her nipples now. So thats very very good. I am still giving her her shots. I have to do that for 4 more days. I had to move the kittens lastnight b/c where she had them just isnt really a good place for them since we have other animals in the house. She apparently doesnt like where I put them b/c she is moving them. My 3yr old came running and screaming to me this morning that Sponge was trying to kill her baby, she had it in her mouth moving it to a different place. So when Sponge put the baby down Chloe grabbed it and looked it over and then put it back where it was. I explained everything to her that its ok she is moving them, etc. sponge went back and got the kitten and moved it back to where she wanted it. LOL
So if you have small kids warn them! Maybe they would freak out like Chloe did! LOL

When does Skittles go to the vet today???? BTW, I hope the day, time, and how many kittens she has wasnt already picked by someone else, if so let me know and I will change it. I didnt have a chance to look through what everyone else thought about her having them.

i can't believe this is the first and last place i come to every day now, just to check whether they've arrived. Come on Skittles, stop being such a tease!

btw i'm collecting my new little furrball in the morning. A seven week old little girl. I'd much rather she remained with mum for a few more weeks but her current owners are sick of the sleepless nights.

ok am leaving wish her luck she is big. She looks to big for the arrier... Little worried about that. Glad it isnt a big drive but She can not turn around
