Update on SKittles

wow. Skittles's labor is the exact opposite of how Kitty's was. i dont know how long she had contractions and stuff because i was at school but my mom came and got me just in time to see Habusaki being born. i think the babies coming out only took kitty like 30-40 min. my sister said everyting else went pretty fast too! Kitty is a skinny little thing and only had 2 babies. poor Skittles must be dyin! at least everything is goin good so far.

Now, this set of videos has me kind of befuddled. I'm no expert, but I actually didn't see any contractions, and the breathing thing looks to me like she was purring...or just dozing. I did notice at one point that it looked like something jumped in her abdomen...possibly some baby action or kicking in there.

I could be wrong, and probably am. I thought the contractions were clearer in the first set of videos that were thrown up on here. Obviously, she could have the kitties any minute...but with a cat who has gotten as large as Skittles from all of the babies, it may be very difficult to tell when the real contractions are happening. Love the tongue photo too, by the way!!! She's a silly muffin!

I once again think that they were muscle spasms in the first video. She is very full, and the kittens are bound to be ricocheting off of her in ways that would cause muscles to jump involuntarily. The eyes closing would be because she can feel it when that happens.

I may be wrong, but as it happened days ago with no kittens as yet (and no obvious distress), I doubt I am. Here is hoping to a smooth, safe, fast delivery.

Yeah, with Skittles there may be no great way of knowing when hard labor is about to begin, as she's so full of kittens, which has made her enormous. It might be one of those things where you go to the kitchen for a sandwich, come back, and wham, there's a kitten halfway out of the hoo-ha. You just never know.

For Skittles sake I do hope something transpires SOON. I'll admit though, she does look kind of cozy in the clip!

This is her in my closet. The dresses she can jump on but she has to much weight right now... She can not get under it because it is solid She only has this strip and a box for her nest on the other side... She right now is here and will not come out...

That can't be comfortable LOL

It looks like a nice private spot though, so that's probably why she likes it there. Hopefully she'll come to her senses and go elsewhere before pushing. LOL
