I took in a young cat (1yr) that appeared in my rock garden - MacGregor is his name. He's been to the vet for shots and neutering. My problem is a 16 lb Siamese(?) looks like a sealpoint but too big!! He will not accept this young fella into the house. McG stays in the guest bedroom at night - I let him into the rest of the house during the day only when I can supervise. Luckily McG is VERY vocal and I go running when I hear him , but several altercations have occurred at my feet - fur flying! This is week #8 - any suggestions?

Welcome to The Cat Site!

It sounds like you need to start over by completely separating the two cats. Please click here to read about how to introduce a new cat to your old cat. I think that if you follow these directions the two cats will learn to be friends (or at least to tolerate each other).

Good luck!
