My fish tank is near a window and I want to keep the heat out. My house has a aluminum roof
I hear aluminum foil works great. What do i do. Place the shinny side out the window. I need ways to keep my house cooler please. I am puting the AC in my room for the kittens when it is hot Skittles will not roast.. Any ideas on making my house cooler..

What type of house do you have? Brick? or siding?

Keeping the rooms dark always worked for us. Put a dark blanket over all the windows(black -out) and open the windows in the rest of the house so theres a steady breeze flowing.

We used to spray down the side of our brick house with the hose, that helped alot-- but I don't know if it'll help with siding
you said your roof is tin? Is it a flat roof? If so, you could spread a thin layer of white gravel/sand over it to reflect the heat?
