i know i am new here but i have to share this with everyone...my manx just had her first kitten from her first litter. she has 5 more to go so i guess when she is done i will post pics.
Good to know that you have a plan to have mom spayed. Ok..now I remember, you have mom and you have a little kitten. So glad everything is going well so far....just keep an eye on Spike...especially if he isn't neutered and is 5 months or older. We wouldn't want Spike to become a daddy at this age.Originally Posted by spikesmom
no we are not..she is 5 years old and we thought she would never have kittens so when this litter is 6 weeks old we are getting her spayed. the weirdest thing though, before she had her first kitten, she was following spike around the house. she didn't settle down to have the kitten until i had them in the same room and she was able to see my kitten. she just had #2
Oh..that's great that little spike is neutered...believe me, he will forgive you.Originally Posted by spikesmom
i took your advice and got him fixed last week. he's still mad at me for it but he's getting better. btw, how much blood is too much? both of us are first timer's here
yeah...she had #4 almost an hour ago and there is still alot of blood. i can't tell if she is done or not, she still looks like she is trying to push out another one, she is on her side with her legs spread and her back paws are shaking. the vet said she was having 6 but he wasn't 100% sure. how can you tell if she is done?Originally Posted by TNR1

Are you talking about blood during labor??

sorry that i was off for so long, my baby spike was getting really jealous so i laid down with him for a while, not to mention i too am pregnant. minxie is doing fine, we have 4 little kitties, the 1st one looks like a really dark gray tabby, #2 is black and white(like my spike, i think i'm gonna keep him/her), #3 looks like an orange tabby, and #4 is a gray tabby. i have pics already, i just have to wait for my roommate to get home so he can upload them for me. i will post them tomorrow.Originally Posted by momof3rugratz
OK update please. I am trying to keep my mind off Skittles. Poor thing everyone is pooping but her
Just remember...for those of you who loved the experience, rescues and shelters are always looking for people willing to foster pregnant cats. Just something to consider after you have spayed your cat.Originally Posted by Lilicat
congratulations to you and your precious new kittens
My cat had kittens three weeks ago,she had them at eight thirty in the morning and did not really eat properley until later that evening.
She was really tired and just slept and nursed the kittens for most of the first day.
Congratulations again,it is a lovely experience isnt it?
