The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
I just noticed there wasn't one...
So how was everyone's weekend? Mine was great! Was at Radio 1's big weekend on Sat, I keep meaning to post pics but have just been so busy! We had a great day rubbing shoulders with the stars
Ok maybe not huge stars but still famous people

Yesterday I was at my Mums for dinner and spent most of the evening playing with Alfie her dog. He's just crazy.
Have a great day everyone!

Oh how did you get on with the homes? You think you'll do it? E-mail me if you like...
I did walk past a few cameras doing the 'hello mum!' bit but so far haven't seen myself.
I walked behind Annie Mac when she was presenting but haven't seen any sign of that, don't know who any of the others were.
I met Scott Mills! He's such a cutie! Got our pic taken with him and had a go at him for never reading out our texts which we send to Radio 1 on those long journeys to Nottingham.

We saw quite a few bands, some of which the name escapes me (must have been the alcohol) but Corrine Bailey Rae was brilliant, what a voice, and The Streets just topped the day off perfectly.

Good Morning everyone!!

Pombina, that concert sounds like it must have been fun, It's too bad I don't know any of the performers you mention since I'm in Canada...but still I imagine it was a great time for you!!

Nothing much going on here today..it's kind of cold and dreary this morning, but it's not raining yet so that's good.

I have my coffee as usual, and today is my early day so I get to leave at 4pm which is awesome!! I'm going to the gym after work and I always look forward to that...So, all in all, it's a good day for me

Good morning all!
I had to work all weekend but I got to see my MILs face when we gave her our Mothers day gift. It was a diamond heart necklace with the mother and child in it. I got one for my mom too but it never showed up in the mail!( and I priority mailed it so it should've been there in three days tops!
) Sometimes the post office makes me so mad! I wanted it there for her anniversary too that's why I mailed it that way but it hasn't shown up as of Sat, so I guess we will see. I'll be one angry lady if they lost it. It was expensive! Not to mention they ruined my moms mothers day and anniversary ( at least to me they did!
)So if it doesn't get there today, I'm going to the post office and raise heck! This is stupid, if I mail it out from Fulton, it gets there fine, but if I mail it out from our post office, it hardly ever gets there. You'd think that I'd learn, but I don't. I just hope that our post office gets on the ball so people get the things I ship to them. My sister got the card I sent the same day and I sent that normal mail
so I know something's wrong.

Oh well hopefully it'll show up today and I don't have to worry about it anymore.

Have a great day everyone!!!

I even watched TOTP as they were filming there too, but I'm not sure if that was filmed on Saturday?!! Stll looked for you though!

Good Morning everyone!

It's still raining here
It looked like it has stopped and I was going to try to go for a quick walk, but it just started again. This weekend I came to the realization that we aren't going to get around to painting and putting up the chair rail in the dining room any time soon, so I dragged out the decorations from my old house, and decorated that room. It doesn't look the way I eventually want it to, but it feels more like "home".
I also fooled around in Photoshop a bit and made a few sigs. Today will be a fun day of paying bills, straightening the house a little more, and doing a few errands. Abby bought me an inexpensive tripod for my camera for Meowmy's Day, so I will try to learn how to use it also. Because of the street flooding, Aaron decided to work from home today, so Abby and I have company.

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
I had a fairly subdued weekend... gave away/sold some of my stuff via Craigslist... did my last two meetup writing groups [what with moving and all] and the two people that showed up to the Poetry group offered to take over that group... WOOHOO!! though they won't go through meetup. I'll stay official organizer for a couple weeks there while they figure out what alternative methods [MySpace and/or LiveJournal, as well as a site I created for my writing groups].

I am now off to Portland for a couple days to sign my lease on my apartment and check everything out. I have two HUGE suitcases to bring with me, but not bringing back [I'll be back out there for good in a month... so why bother bringing them back?]... so I opted to get an Airport Shuttle... I really don't want to lug those things during a commuter time on a CTA train! *shudders at the thought* I can take the train home when I get back. I'll only have a carry-on bag then.

OOOOHHHHH!!!! I can't wait to set foot in Portland. I'll have a day and a half to goof off. Plane lands around noon there.

See ya when I get back!!

That sounds like a great meowmy's day present Karen

This weekend was pretty busy, didn't have a chance for much relaxing (or studying
), I'll have to get on that today.

On Saturday Jeff and I took a drive down to the mall where he got my engagement ring so I could have it inspected and look at wedding bands. I got to see the matching wedding band for my ring...I love it!. Now Jeff just has to decide on the kind he wants.

We also met with the manager of our venue, and we decided on the menu and some of the other little details.

Yesterday Jeff went golfing with one of his friends so us girls stayed behind and got supper all ready.

Hmmm...it's Monday. Yuck.

I have so much to do to get ready for my 2nd class tomorrow night. I think I figured out their next homework assignment and my outline is longer than the last one, so the class should last beyond 2 hours!

This weekend I went to the local Farmer's Market and then we did a total clean of the house. We tried to go out for dinner, but just didn't make it.
Then on Sunday was a Flower Fest in downtown so my mom and I went there. I probably spent too much, but still...they had really good prices.
Then went to the parents for Mother's Day.

Happy Monday!!.... not!

My weekend was great! I had Friday off of work, so coming in today was not what I wanted to do
I enjoyed my 3 day weekend - slept in, and spent plenty of time with John & Harley

I spent all day Saturday & Sunday scrapbooking in Harley's book - and got 10 pages done yesterday!

I started my Mom's Christmas present (early, I know!) but I am putting together a huge scrapbook for her of camping. We camp every weekend @ our permanet site with family and friends - and she has MILLIONS of pictures from over the past few years and has not done anything with them yet, so I went and got supplies and started working on that yesterday. I love it - so far its coming along perfect - I got about 10 pages done in that yesterday too. I plan on using this summer's pics as well - and then I can always add pages in there for the future. I plan on working on that tonight, its so rainy and icky outside, its perfect weather to get started on that!

I hope you all have a great Monday!

There are a lot of online stores that you can get supplies from - if you dont have a store there that you can access them at.

I love scrapping - its so relaxing! I put in my 10 seasons of FRIENDS yesterday - watched all the seasons and scrapped all day - now thats my kind of day!

I am a crafty person, wish I had more time to do it. I've always liked scrap booking but never did it myself. It seems like it would be expensive... I dunno. But I did see yesterday in the Lakeside Catalog there are some new scrap booking things to buy really cheap, like a pack of different stickers & labels for $6USD. You guys should check out their website www.lakeside.com and let me know what you think. I might take it up this winter. I usually read through the summer, and knit through the winter...but I love photographs so this might be for me...

Its actually not expensive at all - yesterday, I went and got 1 12x12 photo album to start on my mom's - that was $19, 5 pages of paper - $2.50, and a bunch of sheets of stickers that were about $1.00 each - I got a TON of stuff, for about $30.00. I usually get the big 200 page sets of paper for $20 - which includes about a million different shades of every colour!

I love doing it - its so relaxing and I get my pics organized!

Hello!

I relaxed quite a bit today. I also went to the craft store, and picked out fabric for a quilt. I got this lovely wild blue paisley (I think it's paisley) pattern (only it doesn't really look like paisley because of the colors and how the teardrops are over lapped, a dark purple that has sort of a blotch pattern and some peach solid. I'm excited! I think I'm just going to do a simple double four patch pattern though, as it has to be done for June 10th.

I also got most of my personal banking stuff done. I'm switching banks to be at the same bank as Eli. We have a shared account together, and I want to be able to transfer $ easier and see what we're spending!!

The kitties also got outside for quite a bit.

I also got a self scooping litter box for graduation... a LitterMaid Plus... from my aunt
Any one use one of these?

Well my Monday ended up turning out quite crappy...I got in a car accident! A guy ran a red light and T-boned me! I was fine at first but when the adrenaline wore off, my back and neck were hurt so I had to go to the emergency room, strapped to a board and everything! It turns out I have whiplash but otherwise I am fine. The other guys in the other car are too. Major damage to my truck, but it was hit in such a way that it just like hit in the center and the sideswiped down the length of the truck, so I can still drive it ok. His car was pretty bad too....What a night!
