The garden beckoned, and I grabbed the camera. Only got a few decent flower pics -- Cindy came to keep me company, and ended up being the primary subject. However, the lilac was happy to pose...

and as I went in, the hanging baskets demanded attention.

These nasturtiums are some of last year's pots, which over-wintered quite satisfactorily in the little "patio greenhouse" we have on the back porch...

...interspersed with herbs in pots...

Very nice! Your nasturtiums overwintered quite well. Is that parsley and rosemary I see?

The nasties did do quite well. They were a bit of a pain to clean up, I gotta tell ya
, but I think they'll be fine now. Yes, parsley between the two nastie pots, rosemary on the far end, and oregano on the near end. Window box full of tarragon and a few chives below the pots. It's nice to have them right outside the kitchen.

Oh, yes, and the lilacs do smell lovely!

Very nice Fran
I love peonies. I have lots of tiny buds, but it looks like the flowers are still a way off.

Ooohh, very pretty.

May I borrow your lilac shot as a desktop background? (Lilacs are some of my favorites!)

Absolutely! Enjoy! Actually, if you'd prefer a higher resolution, I'd be happy to email the original to you. Let me know.
