I'm sorta new to this and I was hoping for some advice. My dad loves cats, but we already have three, whick is a lot to him. He said he doesnt want another cat for fathers day, but I would really like to get him one! I am under 18, so I would need my aunt to help me. I would pay for it and all, but still I wish for some guidance as to whether I should get him another cat or not! HELP, PLEASE!

If you dad really doesn't want another cat. Then NO. Getting anyone a living creature for a present when its not wanted isn't the right choice. Cats cost money sometimes they can be very costly if they get ill and need a vets care. Your dad probably feels that 3 cats are all he can afford to feed and be able to properly care for them if they get sick. If he says no then DON"T get him another cat.

I agree, you can't get a cat for him if he doesn't want one. It's a big responsibility to get one on a whim.

I know you'd love to get another cat but I have to agree with the others here. I hope someday he lets you get another one though!

Thanks! I was sort of leaning against it, but it's nice to have another's opinion. :-)

I agree too, getting an animal for someone as a gift is a really bad idea in the first place, but if he told you he doesn't want one, then definately do not get him one!
