The first night i got my kitten I expected to be up all night with him meowing and crying, I was wrong,
he fell asleep all night then bopped me on the nose with his nose that next morning,

then he started rubbing it rather than bopping it, so sometimes i do it back because he purrs and falls asleep!

Is it erm normal or am I babying him too much?

That's perfectly normal!, my kitty Reilly is now 5 years old and I treat him like a human baby

There's no place like home
I call that move the "nose sniff". Cats that live together do that to greet each other.

There is no such thing as babying too much (IMO).

Did I tell you that he is absolutely adorable!!
