Michigan Meet-Up!!! (Maybe!!)

Lansing is good for me too. I am up for anything....

I think Lansing will be a good idea for most Michigan members. Is July a good month for us? And which weekend do we like best?

I guess all our Michiganders are week day interenet users. (and it is really nice outside today!!!) Well i'll check back tomorrow!

So far July seems pretty good for me. I don't have anything planned, so any weekend will do.

So far I do not have any plans for July. We just bought a house, and a tree fell on it ... so I've got my hands full dealing with contractors and the million other projects we have going, but so far nothing is written in stone, so I should be able to break away for any Saturday or Sunday in July.

I would prefer to stay away form the 8th but if it means other people cannot go because of this I will see what I can do.

Let's set a tentative date of Sunday, July 16th, in Lansing.

Sounds ok so far. My schedule depends on my husband's schedule, and his schedule changes without notice -- sometimes daily -- so I'll probably know last minute whether or not I'm coming.

In short: don't plan around just me, but so far it looks good, and I'll be there if I can be!

I live in a little town between Grand Rapids and Holland. I just had a major surgery so I do have alot of limitations right now. I will be showing my somali at the Grand Rapids show on June 24&25 I believe it is but I will have help from family since I will still be weak. There is also a show I want to attend July 8&9 but I dont think I will have the strength to be gone overnight but time will tell. As for any more traveling then that it probably wont be good idea. I have to admit a cat show would be a great place to meet.

The 16th is good for me!

I should be able to do July 16th as well........as long as it is not too early. My husband and I throw our Annual Texas Hold'em Poker Party on the 15th and last year I crawled into bed around 4:00am

It would have to be a "not too late" for me. I will have about the longest drive and I have to get up at 3:15AM on Monday.

What about around 2pm? Too early or too late for either of you?

Depending on where exactly everyone is planning I may be able to make this one.

I just need to know where and when so that I can check train prices.

Even if we meet to do some activity, it would be great to have lunch as well. That way we all get a chance to talk and get to know eachother.

If we plan on just lunch, I can call around and find out who takes reservations once we know how many of us there will be.

2:00 works for me as well.

Luvmysphynx has a great point, I think as this is a first time meet-up for us lets keep things a little less hectic and just have lunch somewhere. Then we all relax, chat, eat, (chocolate if need be!) and just enjoy eachothers company.

Once we descide on a place I will make a new thread and try to get a head count!

Maybe we should see which resturant is going to be the easiest for every to find (close to major highway). Most of the time there are a lot to choose for right off the highway.
