We found a kitten outside just a few hours ago. She looks to be about five weeks old. And her right eye has a cloudy film over it. What is it? Is she going blind or is it something that need immediate attention?

I do have another kitten I got a few days ago from the breeder. He's perfectly fine. Should I keeo him away from her?

DEFINATELY KEEP THEM APART. You should do this with all new cats. This new little one could have all sorts of things wrong. Please don't let that scare you! Most of it is easily treatable. The eye may be the start of a URI. Please take her to the vet so she doesn't get worse and in the mean time keep her away from your other cat. Good thing is your other cat is vaccinated right if it came from a breeder? Don't breeders vaccinate?

Well, I looked up the symptoms for URI. She doesn't have any of teh symptoms. Her eye isn't running, it just has a film. She's very active, she doesn't have any breathing difficulties and she has an above average healthy appetite. I never saw a little kitten eat so much.

Could it be something else? I am still having her checked out and getting her shots for her.

I would keep them apart until she receives a clean bill of health from the vet.
