I admit to not being the most houseproud person. I clean as I go most of the time, and it looks tidy enough, and it's clea in the bits that can be seen, but a collegue was talking, and also cclaims not to be that house proud, but she said "I like to pull my fridge freezer and cooker out once a month to clean behind it" And a close friend grumbles about how her hubby, when he vacuums, doesn't pull the sofas out.

Now,my "behind and under" cleaning might get done every few months if I'm in the mood, and I'm startikng to feel a right slob.

Please reasure me that I'm not one, and I'm not the only one who keeps only the bits that are seen clean and tidy.

I also just clean under the sofas about once every 3 months. I think that's a good amount of time. One thing I SHOULD do more often is clean under the cushions. I bet it's scary under there.

Other than that, I "super clean" my house one a week. Including scrubbing walls, scrubbing floors, scrubbing the cat boxes, etc. The dishes get done every other day or so, I vacuume LIKE CRAZY, almost every single day. Sometimes twice a day. I love vacumming...and mine just broke. (i've been going crazy about that)
I dunno, i like to keep it that way. We always have unexpected guests. Almost everyday someone pops in to stay and hang out, and I would just prefer the house to be decent enough for them ya know?

According to my husband... the zoo
haha. I thought I super cleaned every week until I read "lilleah's" description of her super clean
. On weekends I sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub bathrooms, dust etc.

As far as moving couches and appliances... I don't do that very often at all. Maybe twice a year.

We have no kids at home anymore and only one full time indoor cat, plus the dog, but he doesn't shed, so I don't have to do as much cleaning as I used to.

I used to be quite the slob but have improved greatly over the years.
I have a small place yet can't seem to keep it clean. I'm not v. good at cleaning, three rooms and six hours later I'm not even half done!

I stick to the rule of: keep bathroom and kitchen immaculate, the rest isnt so important. Big jobs I do "when I feel like it". Vacuuming I should do more but Smidge gets freaked and disappears for hours when I do that, so I tend to avoid it. I have hardwood floors and it is hard to keep the dust (and fur) away.

I'm rather untidy compared to neat freaks I know, but I have an organized mess - pile of paper or dining room table, library books piled on the floor by my bed, etc.

I wish at times I was a neat freak...but it just isnt in me.

Comfortably slobbish?

My bathrooms need cleaning, my kitchen floor needs mopping, the stove top could use a cleaning and the carpets need vacuumed.

Not clean by any stretch, but not a dissaster area either.
Jeremy's impossibly bad work schedule and my increasingly bad back make us procrastinate more than we should

My house is a mess regularly. My kitchen gets really cleaned only once a week. I put dishes in the sink and take out the garbage regularly. The living room had drink cans on the table and our bedroom has clothes EVERYWHERE! My bathroom stays pretty clean. They only thing that is a constant clean is the litterbox!
But it is bearable. We are both super busy through the week. He gets off at 6 and we eat dinner and unwind for about an hour and its off to bed and we start back over!

I thought that's what my kitten's big fuzzy tail was for - you mean she's NOT a dust mop???

We clean the apartment once a week...that includes, dishes, wipe down counters and stove, dusting, tidy the livingroom and vacuum, clean the bathroom and sweep and mop the floors.

I rarely will pull things out to vacumm under them unless I'm feeling ambitious.

Generally, the apartment is clean..but I sometimes miss things like marks on walls, or dusty trim.

I clean sometimes. It seems like the same day I clean everything gets messy again. Plus some of the stuff my roommate is supposed to clean he never does, so then I have to do it and it's just weird. He didn't do the dishes for like, a month, once, when that was what he was supposed to do.

Ah, being in college. I keep the bathroom pretty clean though, usually clean it once a week, and sweep the tile, take out trash, etc.

You are not the only one. I live in chaotic world of books and papers. though my house is tidy i'm sure you could find loads of dust everywhere, and as for cleaning behind the fridge... i never pull it out. are you supposed to clean back there?

well, I hate cleaning and it shows??? no my place isn't that bad, it doesn't help that I'm a clutter bug too, I like everything available surface to have a candle holder of knick-knack on it.... hides the dust! I honestly can't tell you the last time I really dusted
I try to vacuum at least once a week and its been well over a month since I mopped the kitchen floor
I use up all my dishes before I do them
and with three sets of pots and pans that can take awhile... I rinse them really well though!! I spot clean the bathroon, as in I wipe the counter and sink with my facial cleansing cloths every night and clean the toilet when it starts to LOOK dirty. I'm a horrible cleaner!!! oh well, I'm the only who lives there
the kitties don't seem to mind

It's reassuring I'm not the only one who doesn't pull things out all the time.
I do need to do a bit of a spring clean though. Maybe the sunny days will inspire me.

With 2 young boys, 2 cats, a dog and a messy husband, I think I do pretty good. I clean a little bit every night then do MAJOR cleaning on the weekend. I haven't mopped the floor since we moved in last weekend and Im dreading it
Thats 1100 sq feet of TILE and LINOLEUM!

I'm thinking of getting a Swiffer Wet Jet mop thingy to do quick clean ups that way I don't have to get on my hands and knees and scrub!
But as far as cleaning under major appliances and couches, the only time that gets cleaned under is if something important rolls underneath it. Like.......the remote....
Thats what hiding kitties with fluffy tails are for!

I swear I use to be a clean person!!!!

However I moved in with my boyfriend and his wrappers and garbage can't seem to find the garbage can. At first it made me angry,
, but he keeps doing it. Now I won't even touch. I throw out most of my things, why can't he throw out his?

Oh and his soda addiction is disgusting too...It wouldn't be bad if he put the soda bottles where they're suppose to go (soda bin). Instead they go on the counter right next to the fridge.

I try to super clean once a week, but with the constant mess it just goes right back to square one within an hour.

Right now it's me, my BF, and a roommate. You'd think with two strong men around I'd have a clean place right? Wrong!

Soda cans take up about half of every surface. I count 10 on the desk right now. The floors tend to stay clean, but surfaces are terrible. We just got a new coffee table about two weeks ago and I don't think I've seen the top of it yet! I try to super clean once a month and try to do "loads" once every couple of days.

Load of dishes, load of laundry, load of trash (usually two bags), and a load of cans (I save them to turn in for money).

The deal is SUPPOSED to be that I do all the picking up when it comes to trash and dishes. Then the guys are supposed to do the dishes and take out the trash. Well, I have to nag about the trash going out to the alley, and a single sinkful of dishes gets done maybe once a week, but even then I have to put them away after they're dried.

LOL Hope this makes you feel better, cause it sure makes me feel rotten!
