I've just seen this, catching up after being offline since yesterday eve. I thought of Sasha and you a lot yesterday, and today. Your tribute is lovely..and I hope I don't mis-spell worse than usual. Hard to see the screen.

Not much I can say, except he was one beloved cat, and no one will forget him.

Just numb. I walk around like a zombie. I carry little Saba, who is only 4 lbs, with me wherever I go. I talk to her constantly. I try to deal with the huge hole and the overhwelming "missing". When I couldn't sleep Thursday night I noticed that the neighbors all down our street had candles in their windows. Overnight, somebody has placed new flowers in his spot. It gives me peace a little and I'm so grateful.

I know that zombie feeling so well. Its how I felt when I lost my Snoopy. I just couldn't allow the raw feelings of pain, come to the forefront.

I feel the loss of Sasha down here in Los Angeles. I wish I could come up there and give you some hugs. You have some wonderful neighbors. It's obvious that Sasha was so well loved, as are you, E. Please take care of yourself,

Eddie, my heart is with you and Eric and Saba now, and has been for days.
Sasha was...amazing. Nothing short of amazing. His strength and courage and love for you touched so many of us after he became The Coyote Clubber. And that spirit is still there, Eddie. You just need to look in your heart to find him there...

And as I've been thinking of you and Sasha, I imagined him getting a hero's welcome at the Bridge - with a tickertape parade and everything! The Coyote Clubber - the legend himself! And I imagined the kittens at the Bridge gathering around him asking him, "Please Mister Sasha, Sir. Please tell us about how you beat up the coyote!" and the ferals and other cats who didn't beat their coyotes asking "And please tell us about how people helped to make you better, and how love made you whole again. Many of us don't understand that kind of love from people..." And Sasha looking to SiSi and Freddie, who both know that they will have all the time they need to be with Sasha again, and SiSi giving him a patient and loving nod to tell his story from the beginning and how a wonderful woman found him as a newborn kitten and his Mama in the garage and brought them into a house full of love and compassion...

I don't know why, but that little image brought a sense of serenity to me when I saw it so I wanted to share it with you, Eddie. There are floods of tears that have been and are still being shed for Sasha, and with you.

That's a wonderful image, Heidi, and I'm sure it's true, too. I'm sitting here with the first smile I've felt since hearing of Sasha's departure, amid yet another flood of tears.

And, E, how wonderful your neighbours are! Your boy was well loved
as are you

Elizabeth, you are always such a comfort to us when we have a loss or something goes wrong. I am so sad for you in the loss of your beloved Sasha! He was such a handsome boy!

So many lovely tributes here...I have read every one. It is true that he was loved, and that you are loved.
And what wonderful neighbors you have, to reach out to offer comfort!

May your faith sustain you, and may you find the grace to overcome this terrible loss. Sasha is safely in God's hands now, just waiting for the day when you will all be together again

Rest in peace beautiful, boy Sasha. My heart breaks for your mommy but I know you are happily watching over her now and enjoying life at the beautiful Rainbow Bridge with all our other wonderful fur angels.

Hi everbody, I'm ok. I think a bit better because of all of you. I have gotten some wonderful mail and things for Sasha have arrived. His grave looks like a shrine, which I love. Somebody put a beautiful bouqet of fresh azaleas, lilacs, lily of the valley, and forget-me-nots in a vase on his spot. It was wonderful to wake up to that. I woke up to a dry pillow - good sign - and Saba, even a better sign, beside me. I spent time reading and just sitting out there with him in the evenings, and I thought it would be hard for me but instead it's given me strength because I feel him all around and I'm gonna be ok.

Measie, Sasha's girlfriend came by tonight. She must know. I could barely get a photo of her, a glimpse of her in the trees near his grave. It's dark and small, but the best I could do. She left before I could zoom.
