My niece came by this afternoon and we went to check out the swan that is nesting in the swampy stream behind my house. I remembered to bring my camera this time.

I was absolutely amazed by how big the nest was. Her and her mate had been building it for weeks.

That's huge! No babies yet? I love how all of a sudden there's little ducklings and goslings everywhere in our local park. So cute.
Makes walking dogs more fun!

We did see goslings last year, so I am anxiously awaiting these babies. I haven't seen them yet.

Oh Karen, how wonderful. I envy you. At work, we have a bunch of Canadian Geese that live nearby, and most of them have had thier eggs hatch so you see all these little yellow peeps following thier parents around. It is sooooooooo cute!

Karen...I am amazed. You have a little eden behind your home.
When I look at your beautiful swan I am reminded that,
Spring is all around us and lucky you....
you have a swan in your Spring.

How exciting...she might hatch babies.

What are baby swans called.

Keep us updated....

I think they're called gosling's. I think
Swans are just so graceful. I use to think I was an ugly duckling and I would grow up to be a beautiful swan when I was younger. Just like the story.
