Cat Urine Smell

I am hoping someone can help. Neighbor hood cats have gotten under our house and used it like a litter box. We got the cats out, however we have this awful smell that is coming up from the registers now...awful cat pee smell.. I have no idea how to get the smell out...

Kim....have you tried to wash the area under your house with water? (being very careful of any electrical wiring under there).

Also...by neighborhood cats...do you mean cats with owners or cats that roam the neighborhood but don't have owners. If these are neighborhood cats that don't have owners, I would contact a TNR group in IL:

Katie thanks for replying. These cats do have owners and we have spoken to them about it. We have made it to where the cats can no longer access the basement. I am not sure about spraying water, they were in the little crawl space and it's all dirt/wiring under there.
