hello again

just a little update since my last sad posts of the loss of my dear bradley. well we got a new kitten, his name is brutus. he is black like his brother was and i think is going to be just as handsome. okay now the bad part, he suffered shock and a concussion yesterday. my boyfriend was giving him his medicine and he fell out of his arms and to the floor. i feel so horrible like i dont know what i am doing with these guys, but i know i do. i guess we have just had a patch of bad luck. well anyway he is home and eating and going potty, purring and talking, he is just a tad wobbly and a lot tired. they said he is going to be just fine, but being me i am probably overly worried and wanted to see if any of you have had this experience and wondered how your cats/kittens did after their horrible ordeals. thanks!!

Aw, poor wee Brutus. I hope he is going to be OK. Keep us posted.

PS - if you have children - don't let your boyfriend hold them.

One of my cats back home ran headfirst into a mirror at 2 months, full speed, and also got a concussion. He was brain damaged and now he's a special kitty. If you hold him about two inches off the floor, feet first, and put him down, he falls over. Sometimes you have to pick him up and bring him over to his food before he'll eat, or he will just sit in the kitchen acting hungry. He does not adjust well to change at all, and if anything is new or different he sits on the towels in the basement all day. He follows his older brother cat around like a little puppy.
The older one was stray for years, and still wants to go outside, but isn't allowed. Anyway, he's been escaping recently and then standing by the door meowing for hours, all of a sudden. So this one, the special one, stood by the door after the other one was punished for meowing, and started meowing, but the whole time he was just standing there, didn't know he was meowing at the door, just that his brother had been doing it so it seemed like a good idea.

If you've seen Anchorman, he's like Brick, the weatherguy.

But he's still just as lovable and adorable and cuddly! He's just a little slow.

Then again, your kitty could be perfectly fine. You'd be amazed what they can come through unscathed!

well seems like himself now, just a little more laid back. and i am sorry to hear about your poor thing.
but if he gets along fine that is all that matters! he doesnt seem confused just i guess exhausted. i am sure shock takes a lot of the little guys. and i really do feel and as do the vets that he is going to be totally normal. it is just sad seeing him not feel well. thanks guys!!
