Hi. We have a cat less then a year old who just had 5 kittens 2 days ago. Right the mom has them under the bed. They feed off her but im curious of what to do.. Im sure they are fine right now the mom is taking care of them but like after how many weeks before I can actually take them out an try feeding them cat food an water and how do I get them to eat cat food or drink water since it has to be completely different to feeding off the mom unless its instinct I really do not know.. The cats we have were gottin after a month a half/2months so they already ate the cat food and drank water and went to the litterbox.. Any detailed advice would be nice. Thanks.

Welcome...you have been given lots of good advice in the links....what I would also want you to consider is getting mom fixed once the kittens have been weaned (at 6 weeks of age). Please keep mom indoors only and away from intact males since she can become pregnant again as early as a week after giving birth and we would like this to be her only litter.
