I think maybe the "In My Opinion" forum requires we've been active for a certain amount of time? Not sure, but I can't post there either, and I'm newly joined, so I bet that's it.

Thats it. I am not sure how many posts you need but I think it is 100 and you need to be a member for a month.

oh! lol! I watched that, and it was really funny and cute! lol!
Well, I am in love with both cats and dogs...
I really LOVE how cats seem more individual, and when they DO give their love, it seems just as good as that from a dog, and makes up for when they don't. Dogs, on the other hand, are generally more loving. My Sherbert is a REALLY SWEET cat though, and he's only mean when I cuddle WAY TOO MUCH! (I can't help it, he's my baby!) lol!

I can't choose. They are both so different... I love them both! (Although it is much nicer to cuddle with a kitty in bed than a 150 lb dog!!

I have 5 dogs and 4 cats and I must say I am more of a cat person I guess. Don't tell my dogs that though.

I love all my furry kids but the dogs can be a pain, from the barking, they stink and I have to baith them all the time, with 5 they compete with each other all the time, very messy with a dog door and all the dirt they track in, and yes barking again, I have a yapper that drives me crazy!

My cats are all very loving and I can usually always have a cat to give me attention with 4. They are always so clean and 2 of mine cuddle under the sheets with me. If I did that with my dogs I would gag from the fart smell, bad gas!
My cats are presious to me and I think they are way smarter too, especially when you find the dogs trying to eat one of the cats poo.

I love both....I have 4 cats and 1 Dog. But that is because my husband hates dogs. He loves cats though. My cat is pregnant and he wants to keep all the kittens.

That video so reminds me of my dog and one of my cats. I have a 45lb. pitbull. Her and my orange adult male cat go rounds like that. It is so funny, because the cat always seems to win. The dog comes out of it with scratches all over the top of her head and all over her nose. The cat looks untouched. It is pretty funny.

According to my husband... the zoo
I used to be more of a dog person, but now I think I'm more of a cat person. I've never been without a cat, but I think I could live without a dog. Before we got Ed, we had been without a dog for about a year and 1/2. I'm sure I couldn't make it that long without a cat.

The thing I love most about dogs is their loyalty and their aim to please attitude - you don't see that in cats very often!

What I love about cats is their independence and cleanliness.

That is funny, I used to be a dog person, and have always had one, they went every where with me and I would have gone crazy if I didn't have one, I never even liked cats, I usually had one, and it was just an out door thing and didn't care if I had it or not, but I lost a few dogs for this reasone or that, and ended up getting a ragdoll, and I am hooked on them! I couldn't live with out my (now strictly indoor babies) but Don't really care for dogs now, I don't even want to get one right now, im sure one day I will get another (my daughter wants one) I like them and all but I find it is so much easier with out one and they were such a pain, I just necer noticed. The funny thing is I like other peoples, and havr a paper route, I buy dog cookies so I can put it in with the paper for their dogs, and every time I see a dog I get them a cookie, there is always a bag of them in my car
But I have to say I am a cat person now

This is a tough question, but I am and always will be a cat person. I love dogs, especially my 2.
For the most part, it seems that most of the dogs I am around, haven't had any training, and that can get irritating after a short while. That is the humans fault, not the dogs.
As my husband likes to point out, I would take in any cat no matter, mix or breed, or background and would want to keep them all, so how come I don't want to take home every dog I see.
My husband was a confirmed "dog person" before we married. He had never been around cats, so he believed he didn't like them. He became hooked after our first kitty, and is now a huge cat lover!! He baby talks them, he cuddles them, and to think, this guy said he didn't like cats at one time.

My kids are just plain ol' animal lovers, dogs, cats, birds, squirrels, it doesn't matter if it swims, flys, walks, or hops.

I have to say that I do prefer cats, although I've had some herd-dogs ( Border Collie, German Sheps) that are very close to being cat-like. My rottweiler-mixes just aren't that endearing to me -their propensity to kill smaller animals is what turns me off the most. And my hens are pretty darn cute, too, and lay such good eggs!

Our 2 Old English Sheepdogs are a herding breed, and I agree they sometimes act more like cats than dogs....LOL Neither of them realize they 85 and over 100 lbs to be a lapdogs, but that hasn't ever stopped them yet.

I am just an animal lover...\\

My dog Gigi is definately a human baby with fur ... she is very needy ...

My childhood dogs Peggy ( a 30-45 lb heinz 57 ) and Joey ( 125lb GSD with likely wolf mixed in) were easy to train , take care of which was good since they lived to 16 years and 10 months and 13.5 yrs...

My cats are also highly different... Zoey being a formal feral is very loving but fiercely independant , yet is so easily trained I call her red dog .... Kandie is a cats cat she is cuddley on her terms and will tell you off if you bug her...

My fish evan have different personalitys...

I'm definitely a cat person. I like dogs and I'd like to maybe have one some day (I'm going to go to the pound and get a big old shaggy mutt), I much prefer cats. I'm a lot like a cat....I like my solitude (even though I'm social), I'm neat, finicky, work on my own terms and have a very strong attachment to home.

Hi (i'm new),

I like your question! I used to have a dog, he was a black lab and at that time i thought cats were just moody menaces lol. I've only had my cat a year now but i've really come to notice some great cat qualities in her... like she's: Optimistic, doggid, opportunistic, spiritual, observant. Theres so much to learn and love about a cat.
Heres my cat philosophising in the garden :

P.S. Has anyone seen the movie 'cats and dogs'? lol seemed a little bias, but was the dog's explaination of what happend in Egypt not really funny?
