Just got my first one

Speeding ticket that is. I am so mad at myself I was doing 80 in a 65. I know better than that!! Sorry, just a quick vent. Okay, I feel better now. Thanks for listening

That's frustrating for sure. Hopefully that will be your 1st and last!

The last time I got pulled over I was going 72 in a 55. I got out of it though, I was on my way (and late) for a birthday party and luckily had the gift (all wrapped) on the front seat, so he knew I was telling the truth. I was so thankful he didn't give me a ticket, even though he said he really wanted to.

Yikes - I hope your ticket wasn't too spendy!

80 in a 65? I would be scared to be going that fast I usually go 5 over, anymore than that, I get nervous!

In NYC people regulary go 80 mph in a 50 (50 is the speed limit on a lot of the highways in the city) I have been driving this fast for years and never had a ticket. I have even seen cops tailgating people going this fast . Upstate NY is a totaly different story, I got pulled over for doing 78 in a 65.

hmmmm I've gotten so many speeding tickets I've lost count I'm figuring probably at least 1 per year since I got my license in '95 that adds up to about 10 plus various miscellaneous tickets sprinkled in... BTW I drive a dark sapphire blue Chrysler Sebring so if you see me comin' GET OFF THE ROAD.... for your own safety!! I actually just got a ticket a couple weeks ago Was rushingto get home to take care of my dog (and kitties) but didn't tell the cop that cause I figured he wouldn't care

O no!!! where'd they get you? Theres alot of speed traps in missouri! A warning for all non-missourians we got a hefty ticket last year going through Cherokee pass. We were doing 90 in a 60 (I seriously doubt we were going THAT fast) but who's to argue with the state patrol? Not me

ya know, amazingly enough they're not that high right now, I pay about $125 a month.... at one point my insurance payments were higher than my car payment

I almost got a ticket once for peeling out at a red light. I made up the excuse that my son was sick at home and I needed to get him some medicine. He actually bought the story and ended up telling me how his daughter was 3 and always had ear infections. I have a friend of mine who ALWAYS speed and ALWAYS gets pulled over. She keeps a bottle of water in her car and when she gets pulled over, she pours it in her lap and says she was trying to get home to go to the bathroom because she has anxiety about using public bathrooms but now that she got pulled over she had an accident because he scared her.... IT WORKS!

That's funny... but I don't think I'd want to try it.

I guess could have tried harder to get out of it. I was just so nervous. I'm gonna have it fixed anyway. $200 later and no points on my license. Guess I'll pay more attention to the speed limit now

I am so sorry. I know the filling it is like crap I got caught LOL...

You'd think I could have come up with something, anything, to tell the officer. But nooooo, I blanked. I had the baby with me too!! I should've been able to come up with a great excuse, like he had a doctors appt or something.

My cat is sick I had to go to the vet.

It was my son that I had with me. I bet I could've totally talked my way out of it too. Hindsight is 20/20. At least Brent wasn't too mad, he's had his share of tickets.
