We took the boat out for my sons birthday this past weekend and the water was beautiful. I wanted to share a little bit of our emerald coast with you...

How does the water look so blue? When I go to the ocean in Long Island, it is always dark water. I wish we had water like that up north.

Come right on over!! It's not like that every weekend but 80% of time it is.

Everything was perfect that day though!

Oh WOW!! The water is just fantastically clear and blue!

We don't go as often as we should. When you see it everyday you begin to take advantage of living so close to the ocean. The down side is the Hurricanes.
We live pretty far from Miami. Actually we are between Panama City and Pensacola. Right smack in the middle.

They say the reason we have such emerald colored water is because we do not have any major rivers feeding into the beachs in our area.

We live in the panhandle of Florida.

Yep that's the Gulf of Mexico. Well our little piece of it.

This is where my husband goes out and does all his fishing.

I live in florida also. I don't go out on boats though. I am very much like a cat, if it has to do with deep unknown waters, it's not for me Plus I'm a redhead so I burn easily!
