I saw someone else with a pretty black and white photo of their cat,-"A porch sittin' kitty", by elicon , and wondered if anyone else has favorite black and white photos. Here's mine of Butterbean (I had to scan it):

I love your cats name!

I often prefer black and white over coloured photos. Here are 3 of my favourite black & white pictures of Nakita in smaller version.

I only have B&W of my dog, but I do prefer them for their artistic quality.

That was when he was 8 weeks and only a few pounds - now he's about a year old and about 10lbs

Normally I don't like black and white,... but this one really works I love when someone makes a black and white photo and then just picks one colour to highlight a certain aspect of the picture.... but isn't Butterbean adorable?!!

Thanks! And I love those kinds of pictures, too. And "Princess Butterbean" didn't have to be muzzled at the vet today ! . She's cute and she knows it, rotten cat .

I just found this old picture. It also highlights the one colour and leaves the rest of the picture in B&W.

I had a photo assignment on whiskers and this is the 'artsy' shot I came up with. Unfortunately, Nakita was in full sun when I took this picture so her whiskers were blown out. I just overexposed the whole picture to match. That's one very unprofessional way to fix a bad photograph.
