I have found this site very helpful indeed so just wanted to ask a couple of questions about my two cats kittens. Weebo had hers last week she had 3 they are doing fine and growing well but every now and again two of them kinda weez which is worring me they can not breath ok they are upstairs in the wardrobe where it is warmest and dark and safe from my 6 yr old son.

Kiara had 4 on saturday they are all doing well but as she had them in the computer room which is hardly warm or quiet I have moved her upstairs this morning in the wardrobe too but there is things dividing the two moms so they have there privacey and feel safe and they are both in nesting boxes but will this confused Kiara as she may hear Weebos kittens?

The last thing is I want to get them both sprayed how long do I have to leave this for after they have stopped nursing?

Many thanks in advance

Welcome to TCS....I wouldn't advise mixing the 2 litters given that they haven't seen a vet. Do you have 2 seperate rooms that you could set up the two mothers in?? Additionally, I would contact your vet regarding the weezing..they may need to be taken in.

As far as when the mom cats can be spayed...they can be spayed when the kittens reach 6 weeks of age...that is when the kittens should be weaning off of mom and onto kitten food.

Remember to keep both moms strictly indoors with no access either outdoors or to intact males until both have been spayed. A cat can become pregnant as early as a week after giving birth.

Keep us informed on how it goes.

Katie

right thanks for the advice they seem to have both settled ok they are either ends of the wardrobe and each queen is keeping to her own end with it blocked inbetween (it is a triple wardrobe) with her own litter they both seem to be feeding there little ones still ok they are not related but when Kia was having her first kitten Weeb wanted to help cleaning and tidying up but I thought if she carried on doing this Weeb may think they were her kittens to look after too so I moved her away.
