Does anyone have any thoughts on felin pine scoopable? I liked the regular feline pine better but the cats did not. So we are using chicken feed now, but I am just curious about the scoopable version. Does it clump hard? does it track a lot? Any help is much appreciated

This is my first post since I'm new to this forum. I bought some scoopable pine litter today and will let you know how it works in a couple of days.

We've been having terrible odor control problems because one of our cats is on an antibiotic and we have to give him tuna juice to make him take it. He's had a slight upset stomach and it's pretty unpleasant here.

I read that the pine litter was very good at eliminating odor. Hope so!

I think it is, Pine litter is wonderful for no odor. I mean, when they just go it will smell but it doesnt linger and pee doesnt smell at all because it turns to sawdust.

They even make specific litterboxes and scoops for pine pellet litter. The litter box is basically two in one, the top one have small holes in it to shake the sawdust out and save the pellets.

I am looking into getting some but they are a bit expensive and one could probably easily be made.

Never heard of scoopable either. I can't imagine how that would work. Wouldn't the clumps stick to the clumps? And clumps of what? Sawdust?

I use pine pellets for my two and absolutely love it. Unfortunately all of the local pet stores have stopped stocking it (it appears i'm the only one that uses it! lol). I'm going to be trying out the pine scoopable when i run out (if i can't find pellets) so i would love to hear how it works. I can't figure out why it's more expensive then the pellets....

I tried the scooable & HATED it! Twitch had yellow legs from the litter. It is like a fine dust. It covered everything. When they covered stuff in the box, the litter was so fluffy there was dust everywhere. Lily pooped on the floor rather than use the litterbox with the scooable in it. So, I bought 2 Feline Pine litter scoops & used the normal pellet FP.

I have never used the scoopable...but I love the regular feline pine. I just ordered the litter box that goes with it. However, they do not make a really big box so i am hoping the kids will still use it.
I bought the feline pine because of the dust issue with all of the others. I was constantly cleaning. This is soooooooooooo much better

I don't use Feline Pine. I DO use Nature's Miracle, also pine... it's great except for the cats track it ALL over. It's flushable too.

Day 3 of scoopable Feline Pine. My ailing cat's nuclear poops are too much for SFP to handle at first. But once everything is well covered, SFP does seem to absorb the smell better than Tidy Cat.

As someone noted above, it is terribly dusty and fluffy though. It converts the waste into a rubbery mass that's really hard to scoop. Afraid to try to flush it.

And the cats were very suspicious, but finally relented. One prefers to pee on the floor outside the box though, so I've got to try something else.

I want to try chicken feed next. Does anyone know if it controls the smell?

We bought a great plasma air filter over the weekend, and it has been a life saver when the odor gets unbearable. A miracle-worker, I tell you.

I've used Chicken Feed for over a year and it does a great job with odor and I'd say is the scoopable equivalent between Swheat Scoop and Worlds Best.

At this moment I have 6 boxes with 11 cats using them and I am always asking people that come to the house if they smell any cat urine odor and no one says they have yet.
I'm always checking to make sure I haven't simply gotten used to lingering odors.
