Police reports from small town America!

I am sorry, but I almost peed in my pants reading the police reports yesterday & thought I could brighten someone's day by posting one of them.

Tuesday, May 2
4:22p.m.
A caller complained her neighbor's grass clippings were blowing into her yard in the 100 block of South Manyaska Street.

The greatest part of this was, I went to visit my grandma today & we discussed who that could have been for 15-20 minutes.

The ones I always find hilarous are when someone calls in complaining of a dog barking. I'm sorry, but dogs are going to bark. Do we call in to the police when the cows in the neighbor's pasture are mooing too loud? NO!!

For some reason, my brother left this kind of stuff behind for life in Chicago. I can't figure out why, though.

Yes, I see a couple of silly ones in the papers every so often too. I like them because I don't feel like I'm going to get robbed every 10 minutes.

When I was weeding at a clients house last week there was a senior citizen sweeping the road!!! And this client had to give me the scoup on her neighbors-so funny (but petty!!)

LOL! Some people are so silly

We call those neighbors the "Nosey Rosies"

Small town life, that's really funny!

I live in a town of 307 people and the monthly paper told us the cops where called out because someone left there trash can on the street.. I was like OMG major crime... I can not beleive the cops came out... SO I put my trash can away the following day, but if the cops had come out again I would of asked didn't they have better things to do then to tell me to put my can away..

oops I guess I gave it away it was me

Don't worry! I don't think anyone here will rat you out.

The paper rated me out. Funny thing is The lady who called is getting all the bad talk I did nothing wrong. I had a stroke Monday and trash went out I came home I did nothing I was to drugged to.. The cop even thought she was a idiot for calling.... I think they where for responding

They have the weekly divorce listings in our paper. I haven't seen anyone I know...yet.

There was one that was absolutely hilarious a few years ago. I still remember it. Each small town in the area has a "town festival" every summer. Well, one town(pop. 500??) had their festival. It got sort of rowdy & lotsa people drank too much. They had a live "rocker" band. Someone called the cops reporting that 30,000 people were drinking, being noisy, & just being punks. The funny thing is it is very, very, very, very, very unlikely that there were even 3,000 people there, let alone 30,000.

My sis' ex-boyfrined wanted to write a book of all the stupid police reports that our paper runs. I think there was a report of a large dog dragging someone down the street once, too. That person was actually running after the dog(ya know, like when you walk a dog-you walk after it...).

Thats too funny! Some ppl just have nothing better to do than call the police for no apparent reason!! *sighs*

Ours has that too....and name changes and stuff. Some people get very creative when it comes to re-naming themselves!
