Good morning Tavia has to get shots today

Good morning everyone how is your day going I have to take Tavia to the vet in a little while its time for her boosters and for her to get her feline hiv shot so she doesn't get that. When I got her shots last year I didn't know the vet hadn't given her the leukiemia shot one reason I have my old vet other than he is a better vet the other was just closer. I had told him to give her the leukiemia shot and for some reason after I got through looking at my shot records I realized he hadn't and my vet I have now said just to wait until she comes for her annual boosters since I don't have other cats and she doesn't go outside. So now having to do this now and at the time I didn't even no about the fip shot so now she is getting it too. Which she got started on the leukiemia shot last time meaning last month now she is getting the booster and starting the other shot. But atleast I know she will have all the shots she needs. Is there a reason that you are giving the FIV shot? I have recently found out that the FIV shot creates a false positive when the cat is tested and it is believed that the shot does not actually provide immunity. If you have time please do some reasearch before you have the vet give her the shot.

If your cat doesn't go outside at all I personally wouldn't recommend the FeLV or FIP shots

There are lots of people who give whatever shots their vet recommends. Nothing wrong with that. Now you have learned another opinion...you have plenty of time to research it, and use TCS as a resource for information. By the time Tavia is due for her shots again, you will know for sure which ones to give!
