loosing intrest during heat

molly has been a fab mum. all 4 of her kittens are looking strong and well.
she has just come back into heat again. and althougth she does her duty as a mum. she seems to want to spend time crying by the door trying to get out.

she dosnt seem to enjoy spending time with her kittens liked she used to. where she hardly left them and was always washing them and watching them.
is this normal?

She has only one thing on her mind right now. The instinct to mate is a huge pull. My thoughts are she feels the incredible need to find a partner and then remembers...Oh yeah, I have kids to take care of!! Sad thing is, I had a friend like that

Poor mom has mixed hormones. Hopefully she is fixed after this heat and the babies are ok...

I think Momma cats often start to back off from the intense care of the kittens as the babies grow. Just continue to be a good Meowmie, and keep her inside until she can be spayed.
