Tomorrow, Samuel and Henri are going to Henri's foster mom's house to stay while I am out of town for about a week.

I'm worried they are going to feel like they were abandoned there. Is there anything i can do to ease this transition? She is a good lady, but Samuel especially is very bonded to me. I'm worried he will be scared and upset.

I think I would do the sweaty top trick! Wear one top and do exercise, gardening, cleaning etc so that you sweat a lot in it! This will add your scent!

Then, when you take Samuel and Henri, they will have the familiar scent of you around them!

Since you have two cats, leaving them alone is not as bad as if you only had one. Sometimes its less stressful for them to be alone more in a place they are familiar with than it is to move them somewhere else with more attention.

Is there somene who you trust who could come in twice a day to feed them, do litter patrol, give fresh water, and play with them for 1/2 hour or so? That might be a less stressful option for them, if it is at all possible.

If I had to go away for a week, that would be what I would try to do first, before sending them elsewhere.
