We have babies!!! The first one came at 6:40am and the fourth one was out by 7:40, I think she had another but im not sure, i cant see in the nesting box. When do I change the bedding? How do I know when she is done!!!! Yay!
Sydney....I would let mom be your guide..some cats have no issues with you handling the kittens right away...however some are very protective. I haven't read all your other threads so I'm not sure how you acquired her...but if you don't know her heritage and you don't know her shot history and if you have other cats...best thing is to be very careful about touching her and her kittens and touching your other cats. Handwashing is very important as to not spread diseases and I've gone so far as having seperate clothing when handling my fosters and handling my own cats. Can't be too careful.Originally Posted by Sydney
8 now! Wow!
This is her fourth and last litter (I didnt breed her any of the times she was pregnant, I just got her and she was already pregnant)
She is a very good mom.
At what age is it ok to start handling them?
I want to clean the bedding but should I wait till mom moves out of the crate?
Thanks guys! This is so exciting!
