Help! I don't get how to post pictures from computer

Okay, here goes... I am an adult cat now, so I can upload pictures directly from my computer, right? To my posts, that is . Can someone show me how? I saw a post where it said the pictures have to be no wider than 640 pixels. Okay, did that, now what? The only way I have found to put pictures in my posts is through the "attachments", but the biggest there is 32kb and 400 x 400 pixels (which, by the way, on my computer?/camera? is a lot bigger than 32 ) Am I supposed to be doing something else?

Where are you hosting the pictures at? I think photobucket will resize it for you but I am not sure. Can't you just resize the pictures to 400x400 then?

If you upload pictures via 'attachments' there are quite a few restrictions in size, and you don't get to upload all that many. Better to upload them to a site, like photobucket, that allows remote linking.

Okay; I was just really hoping I was missing something Photobucket takes forever on my dial up, and I still haven't totally figured out my "small photobucket pictures" problem . Oh well. Thanks, I guess I will just have to figure it out.
