Hello

here are the first pictures of Gizmo, our new kitten. He is hard to photograph, as he never sits still. Bubbles still thinks he is some kind of alien and looks at him with a mixture of disgust and disbelief, if he isn't chasing him round the coffee table. Funny thing is, the moment he turns his back, Gizmo will "attack" him, which is really funny, considering his size.

*grin* Now that face has a lot of character! Red boys tend to be sappy old mushbuckets where I come from, so you'll get lots of love with that one, I'd wager. And from a playful side, my guess is that he is gonna be H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks on wheels in short order.

Thank you all - I better not let Gizmo read this, otherwise he will think he's King and Bubbles wouldn't be happy

He is definitley feisty and makes me realize how well behaved Bubbles always was. Gizmo completley and utterly ignores the word "no", his name and "stop". The only thing he doesn't ignore is his food-bowl and Bubble's tail

Cute kitten - but did you "color" in the eye color on that cat? Reds have gold or green eye color - not that dark of a blue - that looks like "siamese" blue eye color.

no, I didn't colour in the eyes, they are really blue, but it's early days yet. He is only 10 weeks old, so I don't know what eye colour he will have when he is older. But as I don't know who the parents were, they could stay blue, if mummy or daddy was a himalayan. (there is always hope....), allthough green would be nice as well

They will probably end up green - won't stay blue. 99.9% of blue eyed cats are either all white or pointed. The only time I've seen an exception is in the Japanese Bobtails - I saw a red tabby with blue eye color. but JBT's also have weird genetics since they have a lot of non-white cats show up with odd-eye color too

Boomer must be that .1% because he has blue eyes.

I know you can't see them in the pic, but in life they are light blue.

Gizmo had a bit of a soft body movement yesterday (he is on worming treatment at the moment) and managed to spread it round his bum and tail, so we decided that it was time for his first bath. He wasn't very impressed, and I am glad we started when he is still small. Here are some pictures:

That's the same age Zissou was when I found her! AWWWWWWWW!
I agree, what's with the no cuteness warning! I want another kitten now! If one shows up lost outside, I'm a lost cause...
Oh, no and now you've posted even more pictures!!!

Adorable. Just adorable. And how unhappy about being wet!

Firefly,

I'd like to see more body shots of your kit if you have them. It might be a case that you actually have a POINTED and white cat - that would explain the blue eyes. Pointed and white would have color like a siamese but mix in some white in other places (like face/body/legs).

Just a possibilty - if he's not pointed and white, he is unusual

Hello

I decided to give my cats their own space, even if it is only on the internet.

You can follow their stories here (and there are some more pictures as well).
I am a busy working mum, so there won't be many updates during the week, but I will write every weekend.

Cheers
Mad
