Hi all! I am in the middle of a big transition in my life - graduating college and moving into the "real world." There are very few years in my life when I can remember not having a cat of my own. I hope in the coming months to rescue one or two cats, but not until after I settle into my new work and home. Anyway, I've joined the board because I love talking with other people who share the same interests. I've been snooping around quite a bit lately and I really like the feel and activity of this board. Since this will be the first time owning my own feline (as opposed to my parents being the true owners), I am sure I will have plenty of questions to bug you all with. Thank you for being patient! Take care and see you around the board!!!

thank you everyone! I won't start my work until June 1st so it is/will be a hard wait. I am also thinking of volunteering my time with a shelter in the meantime (and longer) to help out the furry creatures.

Welcome
I think you are going to make a wonderful addition to the site! Congratulations on recently graduating! I am so excited for you. I can't wait for that day to come myself
I also wanted to applaud you for being patient and waiting until you have everything lined up before going out and getting a cat. No everyone would would do that. You are going to make an excellent mommy. The kitty who finds his way into your life is going to be very lucky, and spoiled I am willing to bet

Hello and welcome to TCS.

Congrats on graduating. Volunteering for a shelter is good way to interact with cats and a good way to find a true match of personalities and to gain ueful experiences. I wish you luck in finding your furever friend
and I hope to get to know you better on the forums soon,

Kallie
