Hi there, my cat(lili) has four kittens now 8 days old, the problem is although they are extremely healthy and thriving, I cant stop worrying if they will all survive, I have read about fading kitten syndrome, can anybody please tell me at what age they are considered "safe"from this and not in danger anymore.
I am probably just being paranoid!!
Thanks
Lilicat

Kittens are very delicate, you can never tell by looking at them. Just weigh them daily to make sure they are putting on weight, keep an eye out for diarrhea or vomiting and that's all you can do. Of my 3 kittens in my foster litter, they all got a virus from mom and the biggest and strongest one succumbed to it.

Lilicat...one thing that can certainly help is to keep mom indoors only from now on. Allowing her to be indoors/outdoors could mean that she could bring in a disease from outside...not to mention that she could become pregnant again.

Lilicat...thank you for coming to this board and making a commitment to make this Lili's only litter. Please remember that even once the kittens are weaned and mom is spayed...we welcome you to continue to post in this board and the other forums.
