this it what the tic looks like, it is as if he is trying to remove something painful or annoying from his mouth. he opens his mouth and tries to scratch it away, he sometimes flicks his tongue out as if to remove something, this is now very regular, every day up to 6 times. Sometimes he uses both paws, as you can imagine this makes him stumble. My vet has checked him over, teeth all ok, tongue and inner mouth ok, no lumps or bumps and no complaints when head and neck region checked over. Ears also checked out ok. He eats and toilets normally. He is 13 so I wondered if this was just an old age thing and he has developed a weird habit. Which if so, fine, but I must say it is quite upsetting to see, cos it looks like he needs help. So do I, any thought or similar habits ? ?

It doesn't sound normal to me, it sounds as though there is still something painful or uncomfortable in his mouth or nose. I don't know what to suggest if your vet has not found anything, except an Xray to look for foreign bodies.

One of mine was doing this this week, and I just knew she had gotten something wedged in her mouth...but it turned out to be a close encounter with a bee. She never stopped eating or anythng...just pawed and rubbed across her nose and mouth for two or three days, even after taking benadryl!

News on Dinos twitch - he´s developed a small wart on his chin !! can you believe it, vet says all ok and just leave it alone. He´s not done his twitching thing as much and some days not at all. So I feel loads better now I know its just his age (coming up 13 !)
