Oh no, Jerry is coming home from work with the stomach flu. He was getting it last night and had a temp of 100.7. I slept in the guestroom so I wouldn't get it. He went to work, but just called to say he had lunch and feels awful, so he's going home. Any good vibes you can send his way, or mine for that matter, would really be appreciated. He's NOT fun when he's not feeling well!

Oh poor you! Sick men are just horrible to live with!!!

If you haven't already, get some Airborne (or the generic equivalent thereof). It's great, seriously great! It's an effervescent tablet that is packed with vitamins and minerals that will boost your immune system so you don't get what he has, or at least not as bad. Mary Anne turned me on to it when I got bronchitis and I swear by it too now.

Do you just buy it in any drugstore Heidi? Do you take it all the time or just when your feeling sick?

I've heard of that, but couldn't find it at Walgreen's any suggestions?

yes, men are GRUMPY when they're sick!! (But then...so am I
) Of course I guess I'm used to his grumpness....he's a schoolbus driver, and is always bringing home some new germs for us to try out!

Sending {{{prayers & vibes}}} for Jerry's speedy recovery & your immunity & peace & quiet!
BTW, my uncle swears by Airborne as well! I use mint tea & ginger ale, and raspberry leaf tea(for cramping and to relieve diarrhea) with pretty good results.

I've seen it at Walgreens, Wal Mart and Sam's Club. I know Walgreens has a generic version that is a couple bucks cheaper.

I don't take it all the time, but it suggests taking it if you're going to be in a place with a lot of people you don't know (Christmas shopping, airports, concerts, conventions), or if you've been exposed to an illness.

I've never tried Airborne, but I love this stuff called "EmergenC" You put it in a glass of water and it makes a fizzy fruity drink. It makes me feel like I've had an energy drink but its Vitamin C and other vitamins and such! It helps boost your immune system. I took it when I had West Nile.

I'm headed out at lunch to get the Airborne. I'll look at Walgreens first. Jerry's temp went up to 103 last night. I kept tabs on it through out the night and it went down slowly. When I left him this morning in bed, it was down to 100.8 My poor guy. I have a doc appt for him tomorrow, but I know if he's feeling better, he won't go. Men!
