Ok sorry for starting another thread but I really need some help!!! Its funny I just replied to a post on my other thread about Moe and said that she was showing no signs of labor however I was just sitting her watching her and her back keeps rippling it happens every few mins...My question is what is that and is she in labor?? I was outside cleaning out pool and my husband said she was making some moaning noises while I was outside...Her back has rippled 4 times Should I time them?? PLEASE HELP!!!

It definately sounds like the onset. I'd say it won't be long if you see or feel her tummy tightening up. My Jada got very nervous and was right in my face when her back starting rippling and I held my hands gently on her sides and could feel the contractions. It's not just one hard steady contraction like us. Her uterus would squeaze, release, squeeze release, squeeze, release several times and then she'd get a small break. Jada did this for only about 30 minutes before pushing the first one out. Keep your eye on her.

Edited to add that I don't think there's any need to time them. Once she starts contracting it won't take long. :0)

How many did your vet say Skittles was having? Jada got "buldgy" but she never got real real fat. She only had 4 though. I can't wait to see Skittles kittens!

He said 6 but it looks more like 7 or 8 ... I have to go back next week because it is her first litter to make sure there is no trouble.

winter got really big last time it looked like she had a football on both sides and she gave birth to seven. That is a lot of work. I wish you good luck. I am hoping winter has less this time but not really according to her x-ray they figured she will have 5+ babies. I am hoping for only five.

Ok we are either on day 65/67...there still are no "signs" of labor!!! The best I have gotten out of her is her back rippling a few times yesterday...I never really looked at her "kitty bits" so I really don't know how to tell if it is swollen or not! I see no discharge of any kind!! She is still eating and drinking and going potty like normal...I give up!! my husband has been out of work for the past 8 weeks due to an illness and he goes back tomorrow and he says that she will wait until he goes back to work then while he is at work she will have them!!!
I just thought I would give everyone an update on Moe!

Thanks for the update! I was wondering about her. Do you have her confined in a small space?

I could never tell that Jada's kitty parts were swollen either until she was actually in full blown labor and then of course they swelled right up. How are her stools? Jada had yucky diarrhea the night before she went into labor. She kept going and going and going. It was like she was emptying herself out. Also, that morning, there was about a quarter size puddle of mucous discharge on her bed where she had been laying. I'd say those are the two most prominent signs that Jada had.

Keep us updated!
