I'd like to ask thoes of you who pray to please keep my Grandpa in your prayers. My Dad called a few minutes ago saying they think he had a stroke and were on the way to the hospital. Grandpa has had a few health challenges the past few years.

I talked to Grandpa just earlier today and he sounded a bit winded, but fine other than that. Dad said he normally sounds winded lately. Please keep him and my family in your prayers. We appreciate them very much. Thanks!

What very difficult news for you to receive, and so scary not knowing exactly what is going on. It's wonderful that you spoke to your Grandpa earlier today, even if he didn't sound quite himself.
I am praying for your Grandpa as well as for you and your family and expect a swift recovery. Please do continue to let us know how he's feeling. Hugs to you from my girlies and me.

No Dad was home. Dad was with him when he had his major heart attack in 91, they were driving and Dad turned around and went home. My cousin and I were there. It was the scariest moment of my life ever. It's now been 15 years since he had his bypass surgery.

So far no one has called me with an update. I'm hoping no news is good news. I do see that my cousin is online. I'm not sure if she is actually there or doesn't have an away message up. I'm feeling too chicken to IM her and see. She is an RN (along with my Aunt) so I'm guessing if she's not at the hospital then it is a good sign. Usually they all hover and make sure he gets good care and attention. Dad said he'd call me tonight.

Ok I finally just called my Dad. Sitting there wondering was just getting bad. So far the tests are negative, but all the other signs of a stroke are there. In a day or two he will be going to a rehab center nearby. They have 3 hospitals in town. The positive thing is that his appetite is better than it has been in a while. It takes him longer to eat, but he's more hungry. I'm hoping that is a good sign.
