My cat is going on 15 and I'm scared that he might die soon. His fur has lost luster and he's turning inactive. Some times he acts like he's confused or not sure of what he wants to do. I also get the feeling that his night vison is dwindling. I would appreciate everyones opinoin.

Geriatric cats need checkups every six months to keep on top of things.
I would say it's time for a visit with your veterinarian. It really is a small price to pay for definite answers about the health of your cat, and if nothing else will give you peace of mind.

I agree, a vet visit is definitely in order. Along with a check up, a senior blood panel should be done to rule out any illnesses. He may not have anything, and what you're seeing is part of the aging process, but it's best to get him checked out.

I'll move this over to Health and Nutrition.

I agree - time to see the vet. Try not to think the worst yet - whatever is bothering your baby may be very treatable. The only way to know is to have the vet give him a thorough exam.

It's good that you've been watching him carefully - hope he'll soon feel better. Please let us know what the vet says.
