I have two cats and a tight budget. A while ago we had a a vet come to the house (we only do housecall vets) and she suggested getting the dog Frontline and giving cat-sized doses to our cats. It works well, and spreads out far.

Does anyone else do this?

I have used dog advantage and frontline with the vets blessing. I didnt' know if Revolution could be done that way or not and am glad to hear it's ok since I rather prefer that.
I just wish I'd known about this a long time ago.

I am obviously mistaken on my thoughts, however I did think that the canine and feline Advantage were 2 different ingredients that shouldn't be given to the opposite animal. Did they change the ingredients, or have I just been mistaken the entire time?
I called Revolution to make sure that I used the correct amount on our kittens/cats. They were very helpful.

Advantage has two different products for dogs. One is called something like K-9 Advantix and that cannot be used on cats, but the regular Advantage can.

My vet gives me a large dog sized Frontline for my 5 and one vial is enough to do all of them - way cheaper!
