Hey guys, I am at work and just had a lovely little wardrobe malfunction. I am wearing a spaghetti strap sundress with a knit shrug over it. Well, one of the darn straps just went *pop!* and broke. Now the whole top half of my dress really won't stay up with out me holding it and this little knit shrug thing I have on is not covering it up. It is funny, but really aggravating. How in the heck am I going to make it the next two hours! I can't find a safety pen... all I can scrounge up is either scotch tape and paper clips, lol, NOT going to work. ANY MacGuyvers out there that can construct me a new dress real quick?

Unfortunately I am not um, wearing a bra with straps. It's strapless. Ugh! I have nothing to tape it to!

Did the strap pop off the base of your dress? If so, I would tape or something back to your dress - if that doesn't work - is there anyway you could go home and change?

I tried the tape, lol, it doesn't work. I am currently in the process of trying to staple it. I am the only one running office on weekends, so I can't leave. I only have til 8pm, then I am off. It looks like I just might be walking around holding my boobies til then, lol. What a pain!

Well aren't you a big help!
I obviously have no problem getting them OFF, they practically come off by themselves!

I was going to suggest the stapler too, but I thought that might be a bit too crazy!

Can you not cross the broken strap across your back and tie it to the working one? And just wear your sweater so no one even knows? Did it break in the front, or the back? Cuz if it broke in the front, then that idea wont work

What, you don't keep an emergency sewing kit in your purse?

You're almost to eight now, and I haven't really any advice, but I know how you feel!

It's only 7pm here. Yuck. I look like the biggest dork trying to keep my arm over my chest and not move much. Haha! The darn staple idea didnt work, the strap was too thin for the staple to hold, it just slips right through! I tried to get the actual puncture through the strap to pin it down, but to no avail. I am stuck just looking like an idiot, lol. I'll look back one day and this will be funny I am sure.

What if you poked those paper clips through the fabric and bent them around? Maybe that would work.

How about poking a paper clip through the fabric, then tying the strap to the paperclip. Or use a rubber band to tie the strap to and attatch that to the paperclip......

OK....I feel like a homemade bomb, I have paperclips and rubberbands attached to me, lol, but by gosh I think I got it! It looks a little funny, but my chest is covered, and that's the important part! Whew! All in a days work!! Funny thing is, it's just about time to leave now!

There you go. Now you can work overtime if you have to.
