Interestingly enough, a German biologist who writes articles for a German cat magazine, "Geliebte Katze", has just sent pictures of her calico boy. Mom is a red tiger female, which is a rare combination in Germany, and dad is unknown. Last week, our local shelter took in a stray hermaphrodite. Three vets have looked at the cat, and "it" is definitely a hermaphrodite. That's the third one I've come across. The "team" who shared a lab table with us in anatomy class in high school had one to dissect, and our "half cat", ZsaZsa, has been both spayed and neutered.
