So...have there ever actually been any TCS meet-ups in the past??

Just wondering. Everyone's been planning them for weeks and months on end but it seems like it's never happening? I did try doing a search.... I haven't been around this site forever, and if anyone could direct me to a thread or 2 about any successful TCS meet-ups of the past I'd love that!

I believe there have been a few if not at least one. Not sure where the threads are though.

Our Chicago group just met last week... don't know if you're thinking further back... I've been sick all week, so I haven't been much for posting anything... but it went well... you know, those random moments of lucidity that come with a nasty head cold...

I don't know why we don't say too much afterward about the actual event...

ours went well... we chatted about our cats, about caring for them... lives in general... took a few pics... had brunch... it's nice to put faces to the names...

Yeah... this is my third sickness this season... two head colds and one stomach flu. Being sick a third time within four months is just one more whopping sign that I need to get the h*** out of dodge. I really can't wait for Portland. Trees and fresh air... not so much exhaust fumes and garbage... I never get sick this often within a season. Not even when I was teaching...

We'll probably have to wait till June so Gail can come or it will just be you and me...

Me too. I do want there to be more of us. So far we have me, you, Leah, Gail and Erin if we wait till June when Gail's not busy. Not saying we couldn't have more than one meeting, if we wanted to do it earlier than June....?

June is gonna have to be for me too - I'm pretty busy in May

May is when Trista was coming here too.

I think it is a good idea to give a months planning, so everyone gets a chance to see the thread.

Since Trista is a minor, her parents may not want her meeting up with people from the internet...but if they do, it would be really cool to meet her! Maybe one of her parents could come along, too.

I didn't think of that....

We have Summerfest in June, State Fair in August, We could meet in Bristol for the Renniasance Faire http://www.renfair.com/bristol/index.php (I love it there), that's all I can think of right now, and those are only things near me. I don't know much about things going on in the whole state....anyone else?

My advice is simple: If you want to see a gathering in your state/area, then make a topic about it... that's all I did. I brought up the idea and ended up organizing it. It's not terribly difficult to do, really. Make the final decision, pick the place and time... PM/email people to remind them just before... small groups aren't a huge deal...

lol...funny stuff. Ok, I can wait untill june. But really now...IT WILL BE IN JUNE! Or I will go by myself, and make a TCS sign, and post pictures of myself with my TCS sign, and how much fun i had. lol.
And we know we dont want that to happen now do we? Because I will. lol
