Yes, Whitey issues have surfaced again (thus B is bringing up the issue of not keeping him again).

I DID make an appointment this morning for Whitey for his Rabies shots and stuff. So *maybe* next Saturday I can get a Vet's advance.

Anyhoo, the issue at hand is that B walked out and say Whitey biting at Beauty in the neck.
Normally he just pounces towards or over the cats. This is the first time of him seriously biting (outside of nipping)...and the neck thing concerns us.

Any thoughts?

The back of the neck?
Biting the back of the neck is part of the whole dominance display.
Around here it is used with, or without mounting.

It's a dominance display.

By "seriously biting" do you mean blood? If so I might worry, but they can sound awfully fierce without really doing any damage. If there is no blood then it's no harm, no foul.

I could be wrong, but I think it was the side of the neck from what he was saying.

Indeed, you'd think ours were being killed if you heard them.
With 6 cats though, there are constant battles to be top male cat, it does get very noisey.
Nobody yet has guts enough to challenge my old girl for the alpha posistion though.

This is why I like it here...you guys are so calm about this. I don't think B is use to anything other than his cats or farm cats (which maybe did their fighting away from the house). So with this all being "new" to him he keeps freaking out and freaking me out in turn.

Then again I get made fun of for going on this site.

Yeah my 2 also bite each other necks, they even do it when grooming each other. The only time i'll stop them from playing/fighting is when someone screams, other than that i just let them bite away lol

I know! I got a chance to make fun of him though. When we first got Whitey and he was being unlike our other cats, B asked me to ask around on this site.
"After all the times you make fun of me for going on there?!"
