Got caught in the office by 2 salesmen in my barefeet!
I'm the only one here, so I thought I'd get comfortable and kick my nylons and shoes off. Well, I hear the door open, and I was thinking, Oh, it's the UPS girl and I won't have to get up for her. Well, two men, (and handsome men I must admit)
come strolling in from a new toner and ink place down the street who wants me to show them our printers, etc. I made all kinds of excuses why I didn't have time to show them and they'd have to come back another time!!!
They must have thought I was a nut!

Oooh I've had similar things happen! I work in a cube and in the summer its so easy to slip my sandals off and on. Well in the winter I still like to take my shoes off (I put them back on if I need to leave my cube). But on a couple occasions someone came by to introduce me to a visitor and I had no time to put shoes on. Of course you have to stand up up right away and I'm in my socks, which probably isn't the most proffesional way to meet people. Luckily in the summer I keep my sandals really close just in case!

Don't feel bad, Susie - I've done worse. I always take my shoes off, and one time I did so at school, and forgot to put them back on when I left for home. I walked to the train station, took the train, and then walked home from the local train station. I didn't notice that I'd forgotten my shoes till my husband asked why I went to work barefooted!

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
When I worked for a Wedding Photographer back in college, I always took my shoes off... I hate wearing shoes. He finally got fed up with my barefooted antics and mandated that i could keep my shoes off as long as I wore black socks... so I bought a ton of black dress socks...

Here in Chicago, I live in a mid-rise building... so when I get mail or pick up packages at the cleaners on the 1st floor, I rarely wear slippers or shoes... if I could get away with never wearing shoes, I'd be a happy girl...

I would have greeted them barefoot anyway... of course I'm a little subtle rule-breaker...

I hate shoes! Score for not wearing shoes! Unless your feet stink, which I dont think they do then go for it!

Here... or There... Hmmm
My boss has never worn shoes while at work. Everyone says something about it too. Shoes don't fit her feet right so she is always in socks or nothing.
