It may just be something minor that can be fixed. I've found that vacuuming the coils on the back of the refrigerator on a regular basis really aids in a longer life for our refrigerators.

I would have a repair man look at it. I had an old :censor::censor::censor::censor: that I thought died (stopped running). I thought the worst - even went out shopping for a new one in a state of panic. I had a repair man come take a look and it turned out that the fan blade that circulates the air fell off the motor! It had to be popped back on and Voila!! This happened to me a few more times over the years and I was able to fix it myself in a matter of minutes.

Well we got a new fridge and when DH and his buddy were moving the old one out, they discovered there was TONS of dog and cat hair under it, and that was most likely the cause of it not cooling! LOL...I sweep 2-3 times a day, but guess that wasnt good enough. But I did kinda get a kick out of it.

I bought this really long brush at Home Depot that you can use to catch the pet hair. When we had the thermostat replaced in our :censor::censor::censor::censor: last year they repairman said to clean the coils at least once/month!!!
