Has anyone else had a spray tan?
Send me pics and I'll be able to tell you if there's any patchiness. Just kidding Nicky!

Oh no Nicky, you can't go and chicken out on me, I am relying on you to determine if I will do it or not! LOL!

Why don't you both do it, send me pics and I'll let you know if it was worth the while. I have a very good eye for detail. I'll be able to dectect any blotchiness.

Are they edible paper undies??

Of course you could, I am sure you pay VERY close attention to detail. I am thrilled Nicky is going to be my guinea pig! So she just can NOT chicken out. You hear this missy??LOL.

Probably at work :(
Good luck on the spray tan--a friend of mine did that a few years ago and she looked like she had OD'd on beta carotene!! She was very orange. Maybe they've gotten better now, though.

Trust fwan and wyan to lower the tone of this thread! lol!

this is the tan i'm going for: http://www.thetanningshop.co.uk/SprayTan.htm

I am definitly going to go, I figured that if it works it will defintly be worth the money to get an even base for my home attempts.

Stevie, I'll keep you posted!

Anyone got any tips/ideas on hows to scrub of the fake tan I already have on so I have a clean base?

Try the sugar/conditioner scrub that I posted before, that would work!

Sorry Nicky. I have a hard time shutting my mouth sometimes.
I will resist making silly suggestions on how to scrub off the tan you already have.
Good luck with the fake tan though.

I got one once. I actually bought a package of three and just never went back after the first.

Like someone else mentioned, I smelled for days. I couldn't stop smelling that stuff. Especially in the shower when it washes off. It was gross. I thought maybe my skin had some weird reaction with it or something. LOL

The "tan" looked fine though. It's up to you to make sure it doesn't streak. You have to use a towel at the end of it to keep it from streaking. They'll show you what to do. I didn't have any problems with that part.

I've used rubbing alcohol before. Very drying on the skin though. I like Kenzie's suggestion, that shouldn't be so drying. On your face you could try a toner with alcohol in it, after an exfoliant scrub.

I recently saw an ad on TV for a product that was a tan in a can-it was a spray on tan you can do at home-I don't remember who made it though!!

I am actually curious too. My little sister is desperate to go tanning. She has friends who have tanned so much they have had skin cancer spot MULTIPLE TIMES. They just have it removed and keep right on tanning. So always tell her not to tan anyways but she is set to go. So if spray tanning works I will sugest she try that. I have never gone tanning and I wouldn't do it if someone paid me too. I love my white pale skin hehe and since I wear mostly black it works!

I just think tan's look too orange and fake. I think it is gross, but I w0ould like to pass the inrformation on to my sister.

I hope you have better luck than I did. I got mine done in Dubai and it looked great but as soon as I stepped outside it started raining (this Dubai in SUMMER) which hasn't happened in like 3 million years. I called my friends in London and they said the sun was shinning and they were all at Regents Park.

Oh the irony

Ok, I had it done today.

I can't say whether or not I'd reccomend it yet as the colour wont have developed until tomorrow, and thats when some of the cosmetic bronzer will wear off.

My face is looking a little patchy but she warned me that might happen but it will be fine by tomorrow when the excess colour washes off (I cant shower until tomorrow!).

My knees look a mess though. I had to put barrier cream on so they look really weird and white. I can sort it out though with some exfoliator and a little of my own fake tan if need be, but again, it might sort itself out by morning.

The rest of my body looks nice and even though!

The colour looks more even already.

But I dont think I would get it done if it was full price as after years of using the stuff, its nothing i couldnt do for cheaper at home.

It makes a great base though. So I'd probably get it done at the start of the summer each year then apply one of those tanning moisturisers every day to maintain it.

To me, its not worth the hassle of going to the salon and feeling all sticky and nasty for a day before you can shower!
