I got Momma and her male companion over a month ago. After we got them home we noticed Momma was probley pregnant and since Romeo(the male) wasnt neutered we decided not to introduce them to our other cats. I didnt want Momma getting stressed and I didnt want Romeo spraying or attacking any of them.

So Romeo is in one spare room and Momma is in a nursery room I set up for her. Im wondering though when I should finally introduce Momma to the other cats. I know I have to wait till she has her babies, but how much longer after that should I wait? I dont want to stress her out during pregnancy or when she is nursing. Im also wondering at what age the kittens could meet the other cats, 8 weeks?

Also we have been getting Romeo use to the dogs by bringing them in his room and he is fine with the dogs, they dont bother him at all. The other night, my boyfriend, who doesnt always think things through, decided it would be a good idea to bring Fez(one of our house cats) in the room with Romeo, and I guess Romeo ended up attacking Fez. Fez escaped with no injuries but this worries me. Will he try to attack all of my other cats? When I get him neutered will this help?

Thanks in advance!!

every animal ive ever had attacked the other animals in the house untill they got used to them. I just deal with cats mostly, but after living with kozmo ( my puppy) for a month, taz ( my foster kitty) still hates him and will attack him every time he gets near her, or she gets close to him.
It will take time for everyone to get used to one another, but it will happen, just intorduce them gradually.

When I got my puppy my male cat couldnt stand him and to this day still cant. they have just learned to stay away from each other and everything stays fine. my male cat also didnt like it when I got my female cat. they would fight really bad at first but now they are just fine and dont have any problems. my female cat (which is still pregnant lol) used to be great friends with my puppy. they were constantly playing together but now she hates him and if he gets close to her she attacks him. I guess its just b/c of how far along in the pregnancy she is, i'm not sure.
After a few days i'm sure they will get along or just learn to stay away from each other and they wont have any problems.
Also if Romeo attacked Fez after Fez was taken into Romeos room then I would try to have Fez in the living room or somewhere and bring Romeo in there instead of taking Fez to Romeo. Romeo probably thinks that room is his and that could be why he attacked. I'm no pro though so I could be wrong, just an idea.

And so everyone knows, my male cat is NOT the father to the babies. He came from the Humane Society so therefore he is fixed. Just wanted to clear that up before I heard all about how they should be fixed. LOL and my momma cat will be fixed after the kittens are born. it wasnt a planned pregnancy at all, it was a mistake on my part b/c i was wrong about the age to be able to get her fixed.

First....I wouldn't introduce these 2 until they have been vet checked. There are diseases such as FIV/FELV that can be transmitted between cats so if you have not had these 2 cats seen by a vet..then at least Romeo should be taken in. Additionally, now is the time to get Romeo neutered. As an intact male, he will instinctively behave very territorily so introductions will not go well. Additionally, he can still get your female pregnant after he has been neutered for up to 4 weeks as he will still have active sperm. So the sooner you get him fixed the better.

Mom and kittens should not be introduced to your other cats until mom and the kittens have been vet checked. Best bet is to wait until mom has weaned the kittens and has been spayed.

California has a pretty extensive list of low cost spay/neuter clinics. I would get Romeo set up for his neuter now:
