Swollen paws, lethargic, loss of appetite

My friends cat has the above symptoms. He also ran a fever. He is currently at the vets, who has not seen a cat with swollen paws, Has anyone had experice with swollen paws?

Any input would be very much appreciated!

I had a 12 week old kitten that was bitten by spiders. His paws were swollen nearly double their normal size. He got a shot of something, I don't remember what, and was fine the next morning. When we saw the paws, we went to the vet immediately, so I don't even know if he had other symptoms.

It sounds like a bite to me, too, or if it's hot, some sort of infection. What puzzles me is why it would be both paws. Thank goodness we have vets.

and it turned out that the kitty had found a bottle of aspirin and had eaten several tablets. She had a fever, her paws were swollen and she was lethargic then her face swelled up big time. The vets tried to save her but the poison was already in her system and there was little they could do but put her down. I pray this has not happened with your friend's cat.

We had a cat who came into the clinic and his owner said all four of his paws were swollen. Sure enough they were and huge too!! The owner couldn't think of a thing he could have gotten into but he is an inside/outside cat. We treated the paws and the swelling went down but we were never sure of what caused it. Possibly an allergic reaction to something.

Can you tell us what the treatment that y'all used to cure the kittens paws from swelling.  We have a kitten with all 4 paws swollen, after 3 trips to the vet, and two different antibotics she is still swollen and in pain.  Can you help please.
